Amphyon is a comprehensive standalone software tool for simulation-based job preparation of laser beam melting processes (SLM, DMLS, PBF), incorporating all of Additive Works’ technology.

Included within Amphyon are the following modules:

• Examiner for determination of ideal build orientation.
• Supports for optimization and generation of supports based on process simulation.
• Mechanical Process Simulation for distortion and stress prediction during and after the (post-)process.
• Predeformation for automatic compensation of shape deviation based on calculated distortion.
• Thermal Process Simulation for temperature prediction.
• Thermal Adaptation for adaptation of build rates to achieve thermal stability.
