Altair Technology Conference to feature close to 100 technical presentations, keynotes, posters, and academic papers TROY, Mich., May 31, 2017 – Altair announces the full agenda for the 9th European Altair Technology Conference (ATC), which will be held at the Congressforum in Frankenthal, Germany, from June 26th - 28th, 2017.

The first day of the conference, on June 26 will offer insights into product development solutions for engineering domains such as mechanical, fluid, additive manufacturing, electromagnetics and system simulation with in-depth information on four different simulation related topics. Reflecting the spirit of the motto: "Learn from the Best" the four sessions on maximizing the efficiency of dynamic machines, design for 3D Printing, efficient development of electrical devices, shortening time- to-market and increasing product efficiency with next generation math & system modeling will offer presentations from Altair's experts and customers. Customer presentation will come from renown companies such as: EOS, Schneider Electric, CEG Elettronica, XLDyn, ABB, Fraunhofer Institut für Produktionstechnik und Automatisierung, RWTH-ISEA and many more.

In addition to the four industry sessions the Academic Day, also held on June 26, will offer presentations from Chemnitz University of Technology, Fortis Saxonia e.V., IPF Dresden, UAS Ravensburg-Weingarten, Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, University of Strasbourg, University of Technology of Belfort-Montbeliard, SIMCHOC, WIWeB - Wehrwissenschaftliches Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe, TU Kaiserslautern, and DHBW-Mosbach, plus over 20 posters shown throughout the event.

This year the conference will dedicate an entire day to keynote presentations, including vision and strategy presentations from Altair's executive board and customers such as Airbus, Airbus Helicopters, Artemis, Daimler, Israeli AirSpace Industry, Opel, Porsche, Renault Trucks, and Streetscooter. The customer presentations will focus on best practices simulation and product development methods for the aerospace, automotive and other industries, delivering inspiring insights into Simulation-driven InnovationTM techniques.

The third and last day of the conference will provide in-depth technical presentations given by experienced users of Altair solutions, in six parallel sessions. The topics of day three are:
  • Optimization in car design
  • NVH & Acoustic
  • Structures & Optimization
  • CRASH & Drop Test
  • Processes
  • CFD
  • Motion & Durability
  • Electromagnetics
And the presenters come from renown companies such as: Adam Opel AG, GME Engineering, Alstom, Anadolu Isuzu Automotive Company, Avtovaz BMW Group, Bruel & Kjaer, CIKONI, Ford Otosan A.Ş,
GNS Systems GmbH, Kathrein, NEVS, Rheinmetall Automotive, RUAG Schweiz AG, Siemens AG Austria,
Tadano Faun GmbH, Volkswagen Osnabrück GmbH and many more.

“I'm excited about our E-ATC 2017 agenda, because it covers more topics and solutions than ever before," said Dr. Pietro Cervellera, Managing Director Altair Engineering GmbH. “Starting with mechanical engineering topics such as optimization and crash simulation, for which Altair has been known for many years, we will now be also covering topics more at home in the electric engineering area, such as electromagnetics and system simulation. With this program, we truly provide solutions that cover the entire development process from 1D to 3D and from concept to reality."

A broad technical showcase, featuring Altair as well as partner solutions will be an informative program of the event. Confirmed exhibitors and sponsors of this year’s event include: HPE and Intel, as the joint Platinum Sponsor, Huawei and HBM Prenscia, both Gold Sponsors of the event, and the exhibitorsAdditive Works, asc(s, Chiastek, Componeering, FLUIDON, FluiDyna, Fraunhofer ITWM, GeonX S.A, GNS Systems, Ingenieurbüro Huß & Feickert, Laser Zentrum Nord, LOGE AB, Magna Powertrain ECS, MATELYS, Materialise, Mechanical Simulation, MFRC, NAFEMS, NovaCast Systems, PART Engineering, PDTec, Synopsys, as well as our media partners Scientific Computing World and Prototype Today.
