Altair Expands the Availability of PBS Professional

PBS Professional is available in HPE Core HPC Software Stack and will be a part of HPE High Performance Computing Software Stack Salt Lake City, Utah – November 16, 2016 – Altair’s market-leading high-performance computing (HPC) workload manager, PBS Professional® (PBS Pro) is being included in Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Core HPC Software Stack and in the HPE High Performance Computing Software Stack. The Core HPC Software Stack is available now via download. The HPE High Performance Computing Software Stack is available now as part of customer beta testing and will be released in the first quarter of 2017.

The HPE High Performance Computing Software Stack provides the commercially licensed version of PBS Pro. Users of this stack will benefit from advanced testing and integration and receive HPE technical support along with Altair’s global support for PBS Professional. The Core HPC Software Stack includes the open source licensed version of PBS Professional. It is available with registration at no charge for standalone clusters of up to 32 nodes, with a 120-day trial license available for larger clusters.

Both software stacks are complete HPC software solutions that allow HPC system administrators and managers to easily setup, configure, optimize and manage compute systems to run HPC applications. Each stack is a fully integrated and validated solution.
